So I am reading a magazine and there’s an article about choosing the best diet for you. There’s so much information available about diets and what you should and shouldn’t eat. Some people say diets don’t work; others have had tremendous success on diets. What it really boils down to is personal preference. What works for me, may not work for someone else, and that’s okay! Some people rave about vegan and vegetarian diets; some people would just die without meat. I don’t think there is any one answer because everyone is different. The most important thing is to find something healthy that you can live with. If you wanna check out the article it’s in this magazine:

Anyways, I found two diets that seem possible for me to stick to. One is the Mediterranean Diet, which is based on fish, fresh vegetables, ripe fruits, olive oil, and a little wine. And honestly, what other diet values wine? I’m in! The other one I like is the Volumetrics Diet. This diet lets you fill your tummy with unlimited amounts of certain fruits, veggies, and broth based soups. Hmm…a diet I can stuff myself with? I can deal with that.

So out of the 10 diets listed in the article, these two intrigued me the most. I’m going to research some more and see if these two diets will work to create a life-long healthy eating habit for myself.

Have you found a diet that’s proven successful? What about one that was absolutely terrible? I’d love to hear your stories and experiences!

  1. I have tried Jenny Craig, South Beach, Slim Fast and Weight Watchers. I had the most success with WW because you could choose what you wanted to eat. However, it wouldn’t work for me now and the goals I’m trying to reach. A great book I found was The ME Diet. They don’t believe in diets they believe in lifestyle changes. But it focuses on your body type and a a lot of science. The information is great and makes a lot of sense. Check them out at metaboliceffect.com.
